Russia to allow fruit and vegetable imports from 20 Moldovan suppliers from Dec 2 - regulator

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Twenty companies in Moldova have been allowed to ship their products to Russia from December 2 as part of the gradual lifting of temporary restrictions on quarantined Moldovan products, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) said on Thursday.

The regulator made this decision after analyzing products from Moldovan enterprises relieved of the restrictions earlier.

The import ban was imposed on August 15, 2022 due to systemic discoveries of objects, classed as quarantine pests by the Eurasian Economic Union, in fruit and vegetables.

The list of permitted suppliers is available on Rosselkhoznadzor's website.
