Ukraine to exempt Starlink imports from duty and VAT - PM Shmygal

MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved all necessary documents to exempt Starlink equipment imports to Ukraine from duties and VAT, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"Points of Invincibility opened across the country last week at the initiative of the president of Ukraine. About 1,000 of them were opened by the State Emergency Situations Service. These points have electricity, water, heat, and communication. We are working to ensure that each such center is provided with Starlink. The government is negotiating the possibility of buying a new large batch of thousands of Starlink terminals for Ukraine. Today we will also approve the necessary documents so that Starlink can be imported to Ukraine without duty and VAT," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at a government meeting on Tuesday.

This decision will reduce the cost of Starlink terminals and will help provide the largest possible number of people and organizations with them, he added.
