Ukrainian Digital Transformation Ministry plans to buy thousands more Starlink terminals

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Digital Transformation Ministry plans to purchase several thousand more Starlink satellite communication terminals.

"We are currently talking about possibly purchasing a new large batch of thousands of Starlink [terminals] for Ukraine. I am receiving feedback very quickly. I see that they [SpaceX] want to help and are helping us," Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Digital Transformation Minister Mikhail Fedorov said in an interview with Ukrainian journalists.

Fedorov said his team facilitated the bringing of over 22,000 Starlink terminals into Ukraine.

"We have direct communication with the SpaceX company and direct communication with Elon Musk," Ukrainian media quoted Fedorov's statement.

"Despite public discussions on financing, Musk has assured us both publicly and in our communication that, whatever the situation, Starlink will work even despite some financial issues arising," he said.
