Russia registers 4,928 new cases of Covid-19, 53 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 4,928 new cases of Covid-19 and 53 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Russia has recorded 4,928 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,500 patients have been hospitalized, up 213.8% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 72 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in three, and has remained unchanged in ten, it said. Hospitalization of 478 patients was reported on Monday.

The daily morbidity has slightly declined from 5,048 cases reported the day before.

Another 53 patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, as against 50 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 5,863 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 37.6% from November 28," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,584,740 cases of Covid-19, including 391,943 deaths and 20,992,153 recoveries.
