Ukraine has exported nearly 17.2 mln tonnes of grain since start of agricultural year - Ministry of Agrarian Policy

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Ukraine has exported 17.19 million tonnes of grain crops since the beginning of the July 2022-June 2023 agricultural year until November 28, inclusive, Ukrainian media reported, citing the website of the country's Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The ministry notes that grain exports this year are 31.9% lower than the previous year from July 1, 2021, to November 28, 2021, when the country exported 25.26 million tonnes of grain.

Since the beginning of the current agricultural year, Ukraine has exported 9.13 million tonnes of corn, an increase of 1.7-fold; 6.64 million tonnes of wheat, a drop of 54.5%; 1.36 million tonnes of barley, a fall of 72.2%; 11,500 tonnes of rye, a drop of 85.1%; and 52,500 tonnes of flour, a rise of 0.8%.

Ukraine has exported 3.99 million tonnes of grain crops since the beginning of November, including 1.64 million tonnes of wheat, 2.07 million tonnes of corn, 252,000 tonnes of barley, 5,000 tonnes of rye, and 14,300 tonnes of flour.

As previously reported, in the 2021-2022 agricultural year, Ukraine exported 48.51 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year, having specifically exported 18.74 million tonnes of wheat, an increase of 12.6%; 23.54 million tonnes of corn, a rise of 1.9%; 5.75 million tonnes of barley, growth of 35.9%; and 70,900 tonnes of flour, a drop of 44.1%.
