Russia registers 5,048 new cases of Covid-19, 50 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 5,048 new cases of Covid-19 and 50 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

"Russia has recorded 5,048 new cases of Covid-19 and 478 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 27.7% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 22 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 43, and has remained unchanged in 20, it said.

The daily morbidity has decreased by 870 cases from 5,918 reported on Sunday.

Another 50 patients died from Covid-19 over the day, as against 51 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 4,262 patients have recovered over the past day, up 2.1% from November 27," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,579,812 cases of Covid-19, including 391,890 deaths and 20,986,290 recoveries.
