Azerbaijan to help Ukrainian energy sector - Energy Ministry
MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko has spoken with his Azerbaijani counterpart Parviz Shahbazov by phone to discuss the situation in the Ukrainian energy sector, the Ukrainian media said with the reference to a statement published by the Ukrainian Energy Ministry on a social network.
"The sides focused on the situation in the Ukrainian energy sector. Galushchenko underlined the damage done to the Ukrainian energy network on November 23. Energy workers are taking the utmost effort to mitigate the damage and to resume power supply, primarily to critical infrastructure and households," the ministry said.
The damage is quite extensive, so the assistance by international partners, which are providing materials and equipment for repairs, has paramount importance, it said.
"The sides agreed to cooperate for helping the Ukrainian energy sector, in particular, by supplying electro-technical equipment," the ministry said.
