Six ships to bring Ukrainian foods to Turkey, Italy, Greece, Netherlands

NEW YORK (UN). Nov 28 (Interfax) - Six ships loaded with corn, wheat and barley departed from Ukrainian ports on Sunday, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that six vessels left Ukrainian ports today [November 27] carrying a total of 176,522 metric tons of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the JCC said.

MV Lady Sham (8,383 tonnes of wheat), MV Kingfisher D (26,900 tonnes of corn) and MV Lady Zehma (30,389 tonnes of corn) are destined for Italy, and MV Fanaria (11,650 tonnes of barley and 4,700 tonnes of wheat) is headed to Greece.

MV New Faith will deliver 27,500 tonnes of corn to Turkey, and MV Inception will transport 67,000 tonnes of corn to the Netherlands.

Three ships, which transited the maritime humanitarian corridor on November 27, are on their way to Ukrainian ports.

Seventy-five ships "are waiting to move - following inspection - into Ukrainian ports with the capacity to export approximately 1.7 million tons of grain and other food products," and 23 loaded ships are waiting to be inspected in Turkish territorial waters before heading to their destinations, the JCC said.

"As of 27 November, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 12,188,194 tonnes. A total of 997 voyages (496 inbound and 501 outbound) have been enabled so far," it said.
