Ukraine to provide humanitarian aid to African, Asian countries

MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved the provision of humanitarian aid to certain African and Asian countries by sending them wheat or corn.

In particular, the government's decree dated November 24 instructs the Interior Ministry and the State Emergency Situations Service to ensure the provision of humanitarian aid in the form of wheat (no lower than 3rd class) or corn amounting in aggregate to up to 125,000 metric tonnes by delivering it to the Republic of Sudan, the Republic of Yemen, the Republic of Kenya, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thus, the Interior Ministry is supposed to earmark 900 million hryvni for the State Emergency Situations Service to buy and deliver said amount of grain.
