Enel Russia shareholders approve changing company name to EL5-Energo

MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - The shareholders of PJSC Enel Russia , during an extraordinary general meeting, approved a new edition of the company's charter that involves changing the company name from Enel Russia to PJSC EL5-Energo, according to the disclosure of Enel Russia.

The EGM also elected a new board of directors, though the composition has not been disclosed.

Similar issues had been planned for consideration during an EGM on September 13; however, the EGM did not occur owing to the lack of a quorum.

Italy's Enel energy holding, which owned 56.43% of Enel Russia, announced back in early June closing the deal on selling its stake in the company. On the last day of September, PJSC Lukoil and JSC AAA Capital Management, acting as a trustee of the Gazprombank-Freesia investment fund, received permission to purchase Enel's stake in PJSC Enel Russia as per the decree of the Russian president. Consequently, Lukoil received a 26.9% stake in Enel Russia, and AAA Capital Management, acting as the trustee of Gazprombank-Freesia, obtained a 29.5% stake.
