Peskov says has no info about possible Putin-Kudrin meeting

MOSCOW. Nov 24 (Interfax) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has neither confirmed nor denied media reports on a possible meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with Russian Accounts Chamber head Alexei Kudrin on Thursday.

"I can neither confirm nor deny that. I do not have the information," Peskov said.

The Financial Times said on Wednesday with reference to its sources that Kudrin might meet with Putin on Thursday to discuss the final configuration of the division of business of the Yandex Internet company into Russian and international. As a result of this process, Kudrin is expected to acquire a stake in the company and take charge of a new entity, which will be making key corporate decisions with the participation of current management.

There have been rumors of a possible division for several months, but the company has repeatedly denied them.

Forbes said, for instance, that Yandex co-founder Arkady Volozh had offered Kudrin a stake in Yandex in exchange for taking a position in the company and helping it divide assets.
