Russia registers 5,784 new cases of Covid-19, 58 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Nov 24 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 5,784 new cases of Covid-19 and 58 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

"Russia has recorded 5,784 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,353 patients have been hospitalized over the day, up 9.6% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 47 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 28, and has remained unchanged in ten, it said.

Daily morbidity has insignificantly grown from 5,631 cases reported on Wednesday, while remaining at the levels of late July.

Another 58 patients died from Covid-19 over the day, versus 54 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 6,112 patients have recovered, down 9.9% from November 23," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,556,766 cases of Covid-19, including 391,680 deaths and 20,967,429 recoveries.
