Bulker to bring Ukrainian corn to Spain

NEW YORK (UN). Nov 23 (Interfax) - One ship loaded with 50,000 tonnes of corn departed from a Ukrainian port on Tuesday, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that merchant vessel Eider S left Odesa port today carrying a total of 50,000 tonnes of corn with destination ports of Spain under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the JCC said.

Also on Tuesday, two inbound vessels transited the maritime humanitarian corridor under the Initiative heading towards Ukrainian ports, it said.

According to the JCC, 78 ships capable of transporting about 1.8 million tonnes of foods are waiting to enter Ukrainian ports, and 32 loaded ships are awaiting inspection in Turkish territorial waters before heading to their destinations.

"As of 22 November, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 11,727,136 tonnes. A total of 966 voyages (479 inbound and 487 outbound) have been enabled so far," the JCC said.
