MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Ukraine and the Czech Republic have signed an agreement on cooperation in education and science.

"We are expanding cooperation in education and science fields of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Education, Youth, and Sports Minister of the Czech Republic Vladimir Balas and I signed an agreement in Prague today to promote cooperation in the education and science field," Ukrainian media quoted Education Minister Sergei Shkarlet as saying on social media.

In order to facilitate academic mobility, the agreement envisages the granting of scholarships, as well as student and teacher exchanges between Ukrainian and Czech educational institutions, he said.

"To support the studying of the languages and cultures of both states and make this knowledge more profound on a reciprocity basis, up to eight slots will be provided at the Summer School of Slavonic Studies in the Czech Republic and up to four slots at summer courses of the Ukrainian language and literature in Ukraine," he said.
