AFK Sistema does not plan to purchase VimpelCom - Yevtushenkov

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - PJSC AFK Sistema does not plan to purchase the VimpelCom telecoms operator, Sistema's founder and largest shareholder, Vladimir Yevtushenkov, told reporters.

"No, we are not buying," Yevtushenkov said.

VEON on November 2 announced the search for a buyer for VimpelCom. The holding has not provided any additional detailed information on the upcoming deal, though it did say that it was looking into options in order to achieve the best result for all interested parties.

AFK's asset portfolio includes the PJSC MTS telecoms operator.
