All participants in Syria talks, including UN Special Envoy Pedersen, arrive in Astana

ASTANA. Nov 22 (Interfax) - All participants in the Astana format talks on Syria, including the United Nations' delegation led by Special Envoy Geir Pedersen, have arrived in Kazakhstan's capital, Russian Presidential Special Representative for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev said.

"All delegations as well as observers have arrived in Astana. The UN's representative delegation led by Geir Pedersen, with whom we also plan to discuss ways to move forward the political process and the constitutional committee's work, also has arrived," Lavrentyev told reporters in Astana on Tuesday.

The 19th round of talks on resolving the conflict in Syria opens in Astana on November 22.
