Ukraine to receive funding from European Commission to buy school buses - von der Leyen

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - The European Commission has provided 14 million euros to Ukraine to buy school buses, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said, admitting at the same time that this sum is insufficient.

"The European Commission is donating 14 million euros for school buses in Ukraine. But more is needed," Ukrainian media quoted von der Leyen as saying on her social account on Sunday.

As reported earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said on August 27 that the Ukrainian government had redistributed a 753-million-hryvni subvention to procure school buses.
