U.S. provides $20 mln for Grain from Ukraine initiative

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - The United States is providing up to $20 million through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for the Grain from Ukraine initiative, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to a USAID press release last Friday.

"USAID will provide support through the UN World Food Program (WFP) to facilitate additional shipments of Ukrainian grain moving through the Black Sea Grain Initiative," it said.

Since the start of the crisis, the U.S. has provided more than $11 billion to respond to the global food crisis, including nearly $8.6 million in humanitarian assistance, it said.
