Rosatom entity plans to manufacture full line of equipment for small hydropower plants

SOCHI. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Rusatom Service, part of Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation, plans to manufacture a full line of equipment for small hydropower plants, Yevgeny Salkov, the company's CEO, said at the Atom Expo 2022 forum in Sochi.

"We will work on these technologies, and we will enter the international market through this," Salkov said.

The company is currently supplying the main generating and auxiliary equipment for the En+ Group's Segozerskaya small hydroelectric power station, according to Rusatom Service's website.

Small HPPs are included in the support program of the Capacity Supply Agreement (CSA) for renewable energy sources that guarantees investors a return on investment from energy market payments. The program is intended until 2035.
