Russia registers 4,662 new cases of Covid-19, 55 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 4,662 new cases of Covid-19 and 55 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

"Russia has recorded 4,662 new cases of Covid-19 and 448 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 30.1% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 16 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 51, and has remained unchanged in 18, it said.

The daily morbidity has decreased by 555 cases from 5,217 reported on Sunday, while keeping at the level of late July.

Another 55 patients died from Covid-19 over the day, as against 59 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 4,164 patients have recovered, down 6.3% from November 20," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has registered a total of 21,540,891 cases of Covid-19, including 391,509 deaths and 20,948,088 recoveries.
