Zelensky, Dombrovskis discuss financial assistance, European Commission's engagement in launching Ukraine recovery fund
MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and European Commission Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis have discussed the immediate financial support for Ukraine to be provided before the end of this year and the European Commission's engagement in launching a Ukraine recovery fund.
"Immediate financial support for Ukraine to be provided before the end of this year has been discussed and plans for 2023 have been coordinated at a meeting with European Commission Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis," the Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying on a social network.
The sides have also discussed the Fast Recovery Plan and the European Commission's engagement in the launch of a Ukraine recovery fund.
They noted the need for further liberalization of road haulage, the implementation of a pilot project of integration into the EU roaming market, and the conclusion of an agreement on a visa-free system for industries.
Dombrovskis pledged the EU's continuing support for Ukraine.
