Putin, Emir of Qatar reaffirm mutual interest in coordination to ensure stability on global gas market - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, the Kremlin press service said on Friday.

"The conversation addressed vital issues relating to bilateral trade-economic cooperation, including further implementation of joint projects in the investment and infrastructure spheres. Mutual interest in further close coordination in the energy sphere, including ensuring the necessary balance and stability on the global gas market, was reaffirmed," the report said.

Putin congratulated the Emir of Qatar on having the FIFA World Cup that starts in his country on November 20 and wished Qatar's national team success. "Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani thanked the Russian side for actively sharing its experience of hosting the World Cup," the report said.

Putin and the Emir of Qatar agreed to continue contacts at various levels, the presidential press service said.
