UNICEF provides Ukraine with water supply, cleaning equipment

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Water supply and cleaning equipment was handed over to Ukraine at a meeting with UNICEF Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Chief in Ukraine Sebastien Truffaut and water, sanitation and hygiene specialist of the UNICEF Office in Ukraine Konstantin Khudobin, the Ukrainian media said with the reference to the press service for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"The meeting included a ceremony, which demonstrated and handed over humanitarian cargo - water supply and cleaning equipment provided by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The equipment can meet the needs of over 3 million people," the State Emergency Service said.

"The batch includes drinking water trucks, water cleaning systems, mobile pumps, generators and other equipment necessary to provide the population's access to clean drinking water and hygiene," it said.
