Russia registers 5,546 cases of Covid-19, 60 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 5,546 cases of Covid-19 and 60 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.

"Russia has registered 5,546 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,136 patients have been hospitalized over the day, up 2.1% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 37 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 36, and has remained unchanged in 12, it said.

The daily morbidity has decreased by 134 cases from 5,680 reported on Thursday but remains at the level of late July.

Another 60 patients died from Covid-19 over the day, as against 61 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 6,888 patients have recovered, up 2.3% from November 17," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,525,567 cases of Covid-19, including 391,333 deaths and 20,932,860 recoveries.
