India interested in larger imports of Russian energy, joint production projects - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - India is interested in larger imports of Russian energy and joint production projects in various areas, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"The relevance of inter-regional cooperation with India has grown manifold," Lavrov said at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Russian Regions at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Especially as the partners are interested not only in larger imports of Russian energy, agricultural products and precious metals but also in the launch of joint production facilities in a variety of areas," Lavrov said.
