Finland to give Ukraine military aid worth 55 mln euros

HELSINKI. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Finland will give Ukraine a new package of military aid that will be a record volume for the Finnish side since the start of the military action.

"The President of the Republic decided on the matter on November 17, 2022 on the proposal of the Government," the country's Defense Ministry said.

This will be the tenth package of defense materiel, the largest in volume to date, to be delivered to Ukraine, Finnish Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen.

"Both Ukraine's needs and the resources of the Defense Forces have been taken into account when deciding on the additional assistance," the minister said.

The assistance package's value is estimated at 55.6 million euros.

The Defense Ministry said the content, delivery method and schedule of assistance will not be reported in more detail for operative reasons and to ensure the aid's safe delivery.
