Russia registers 5,380 new cases of Covid-19, 63 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 5,380 new cases of Covid-19 and 63 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Russia has recorded 5,380 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,219 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 12.9% from the day before," the headquarters said

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 30 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 43, and has remained unchanged in 12, it said.

Daily morbidity has grown by 949 cases from 4,431 reported on Tuesday. Morbidity is steady at the level of late July.

Sixty-three patients died from Covid-19 over course of the day, versus 64 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 6,906 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 8.7% from November 15," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,514,341 cases of Covid-19, including 391,212 deaths and 20,919,237 recoveries.
