Auchan Ukraine to reopen in Kiev
MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax) - The Auchan Ukraine retailer will reopen in Kiev in a week, on November 22 in the capital's Ocean Plaza shopping and entertainment center, the Ukrainian media reported, citing the retailer's press service.
The company has already received the required permits from the management company and the current owners, under which it can resume operations, it said.
It will take from 10 to 12 days to restart the retail chain, because the store has not been open for a long time, precisely, for more than three months. However, the company has kept its staff, so the opening will take place as soon as possible.
Auchan Retail is an international retail company, the first store opened in France in 1961.
Auchan Ukraine Hypermarket LLC has been operating in Ukraine since 2008. According to the Auchan website, before February 24, the company has operated more than 30 stores of different formats (hypermarkets, supermarkets, pick up points) in nine cities, and developed e-commerce.
