Ukraine building wall on border with Belarus

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - Ukraine is continuing to build a wall on the border with Belarus, Ukrainian media reported with reference to Kirill Timoshenko, deputy chief of the Ukrainian presidential office.

"A wall is being built in the north, on the border with Belarus. A moat, a mound, a ferroconcrete fence with barbed wire - these are fortifications being built in the Volyn region," Timoshenko wrote on social media.

About three kilometers of the border wall has already been built, and the work is continuing, he said.

"Work is also being done in the Rovno and Zhitomir regions Fortifications are also being built and border is being reinforced in regions bordering Russia's territory," Timoshenko said.

"It is important that regional administrations and local businesses are working systemically on equipping the border. We are working systemically and simultaneously all over Ukraine," he said.
