Italy's XEV wants to import China-manufactured electric cars to Russian market in 2023

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - The XEV YoYo, developed by Italian startup XEV and manufactured in China, could appear on the Russian car market in 2023, the press service of the micro electric car brand said.

Founded in Turin in 2017, XEV is an Italian startup with a production and R&D center located in China.

The two-seater XEV YoYo electric car is 2,495x1,500x1,555 mm, with a wheelbase of 1,680 mm, battery power reserve of 150 km, and a maximum speed of 80 km/hour. A number of external elements for the body of the YoYo model is printed on 3D printers.

Quattro Motors Rus LLC plans to handle sales of the electric cars in Russia, as well as after-sales service.

According to data in the SPARK-Interfax analytical system, the company was registered in Kaluga at the end of 2019. Its co-owners are Italians Giuseppe and Roberto Grosso, Paola Gilardi and Maria Enrico Rosso, each with 25% of the shares. According to the explanatory note to the company's financial statements, the LLC at the end of last year did not own any property, land or machinery. The company reflected symbolic revenue of 6.5 million rubles in 2021.

The press service of the XEV brand has told Interfax that Quattro Motor Rus LLC was in the process of developing and coordinating a marketing and distribution strategy.

"We hope that sales begin as soon as the first half of 2023," the company said.
