Ukraine registers almost 3.5 mln internally displaced persons since Feb 24, their total number reaches 4.8 mln - PM

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has said that almost 3.5 million internally displaced persons have been registered in Ukraine since February 24, while the total number of registered internally displaced persons stands at 4.8 million.

"Almost 3.5 million internally displaced persons have been registered in Ukraine since February 24. The total number of internally displaced persons registered in Ukraine has reached 4.8 million," Shmygal is quoted by Ukrainian media as saying at a government meeting last Friday.

"Our duty is to take care of these persons, to provide them with food, housing and jobs," he said.
