Ukraine imposes import duty on glass containers from Belarus

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian interagency commission for foreign trade ruled on November 2 to impose a provisional anti-dumping import duty of 31.37% on glass containers originating from Belarus, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the Ilyashev and Partners law firm representing interests of the Glass of Ukraine Association of Glass Industry Manufacturers and its members.

The provisional anti-dumping import duty shall be applied for four months from the publication of the commission's decision in the Uryadovy Kuryer official government newspaper.

The Glass of Ukraine Association of Glass Industry Manufacturers is a non-governmental organization founded in 1997 and comprising Ukrainian manufacturers of glass containers, plate glass, glassware, and art glass, as well as suppliers of equipment, materials, and services for the glass industry. Members of the association produce over 80% of glass items in Ukraine.
