Ukraine to receive 500 power generators from 17 EU countries
MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Ukraine will receive 500 power generators from 17 European Union countries to ensure access to power supply and heating, the EU Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations said.
"To sustain access to electricity and heating," 17 European countries "have sent 500 power generators to Ukraine via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism," Ukrainian media quoted the directorate-general as saying on social media.
The countries providing aid to Ukraine include Slovenia, Slovakia, Ireland, Austria, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Poland, and France.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said earlier that Ukraine had received 700 power generators from donors and another 900 generators would be shipped to the country soon.
