Ukrainian govt streamlines procedure for extending validity of foreign travel passports, entering info on children
MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has streamlined the procedure for extending the validity of Ukrainian foreign travel passports and entering information on children in them.
"Ukrainians involuntarily staying abroad will be able now to have the validity of their foreign travel passports extended and information on children entered in the passports of their parents (lawful guardians) more quickly with Ukrainian diplomatic missions," Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
From now on, the validity of foreign travel passports will be extended and information on children entered in them on the day of the request for free, it said.
The government instruction is expected to minimize the instances of adults and children staying outside of Ukraine without valid identity documents, it said.
