Saudi Arabia boosts number of mutton, dairy product suppliers from Russia

MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Saudi Arabia's Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has expanded the list of suppliers of mutton and dairy products from Russia.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, another mutton producer and two dairy companies have been granted the right to supply their products.

As a result, 8 producers of lamb and 16 milk-processing companies are now cleared to export products to the Saudi market.

According to the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center, turnover of agricultural products between Russia and Saudi Arabia in 2021 was $694.1 million, of which Russian exports accounted for $686 million. In 9M of this year, Russia's agricultural exports amounted to $720 million and could exceed $1 billion by the end of the year.
