Russia sees lowest daily Covid-19 morbidity since late July

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Russia has reported the lowest daily morbidity since late July, 5,252 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 72 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Russia has recorded 5,252 new cases of Covid-1o and 1,485 patients have been hospitalized over the day, up 202.4% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 72 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in seven, and has remained unchanged in six, it said. Hospitalizations of 491 patients were reported on Monday.

The daily morbidity has dropped by 529 cases from 5,781 reported on Monday. This is the lowest daily morbidity since July 19.

Another 72 patients have died from Covid-19, as against 71 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 9.308 patients have recovered over the day, up 31.6% from October 31," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,434,758 cases of Covid-19, including 390,247 deaths and 20,812,505 recoveries.
