New Zealand broadens sanctions against Russia - media

WASHINGTON. Oct. 31 (Interfax) - New Zealand has imposed additional sanctions on Russian legal entities and individuals over the Ukraine situation, the media quoted New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta as saying.

"Today we are sanctioning 14 individuals and seven entities as part of our ongoing support for Ukraine," the minister said.

Mahuta said the sanctions would target the defense and security sectors, servicemen, defense entities and their heads. Heads and shareholders of companies that develop and manufacture missiles and firearms also fall under the sanctions, the statement said.
