Producer of Arkhyz Vita mineral water starts exporting to China, aims to triple shipments in 2023

CHERKESSK. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Arkhyz Original LLC, a mineral water producer owned by Russian investment group Sistema PJSFC , plans to export 400,000 liters of mineral water to China in 2022, which will amount to about 30% of the company's total exports, the Karachay-Cherkessia economic development ministry's My Business Center said.

The company aims to triple or even quadruple exports to China in 2023. Arkhyz Original had not exported to China in the past.

Sistema announced in June 2022 that it had acquired 100% of Arkhyz Original through Sistema Telecom Assets LLC. The deal was worth about 450 million rubles.

Arkhyz Original, which was incorporated in 2017, produces non-alcoholic beverages, mineral and other bottled drinking water. The company owns the Arkhyz Vita brand and 100% of Arkhyz wholesaler Delta Trading House LLC.

The company owns wells with therapeutic and drinking mineral waters, including two in Arkhyz, three in Kardonikskaya, one in Vinsady and one in Krasny Vostok, as well as plants in Arkhyz and Cherkessk with combined capacity to produce 41,000 bottles per hour and a plant in Vinsady with capacity to produce 10,000 bottles per hour.

Arkhyz Group's revenue exceeded 1 billion rubles in 2021. The company plans to increase revenue by 14 times by 2026 compared to 2021, and grow its market share to 12% from the current 1.5%.
