McDonald's resumes operation in Borispol, Ternopol, opens another 5 restaurants in Kiev
MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - McDonald's is resuming operations in Borispol, Kiev region, and Ternopol, Ukrainian media reported on Tuesday, citing the company's press service.
All the ways of order (restaurant halls, express windows, McDrive, delivery service) are available in Borispol and Ternopol from October 25, the press release said.
Restaurants also continue to open in Kiev. In particular, five more McDonald's restaurants are opening on October 25.
As reported, McDonald's began to gradually open its restaurants in Kiev on September 20. As of October 25, the number the fast food chain's outlets which resumed operation in Ukraine increased to 32 restaurants.
The restaurants of the chain were closed in Ukraine on February 24, 2022 for security reasons. The company maintained its staff of more than 10,000, continuing to pay their salaries. Additionally, more than 700 tonnes of food products were donated for humanitarian needs.
Besides, jointly with the Ronald McDonald's House Foundation, McDonald's initiated and implemented the programs of humanitarian aid to support the Ukrainians. Ukrainian families have already received more than 130,000 food packages, and the medical institutions have been provided with 200 vacuum therapy devices (VAC machines).
The fast food chain is being developed by McDonald's Ukraine Ltd, an enterprise with foreign investment.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, MCD Europe Limited (100%, London, UK) is a party to the foreign investment company.
