Zelensky Office functionary becomes NBU deputy governor
MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Dmitry Oleinik was appointed deputy governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on October 25 after being nominated for this post by the bank's head Andrei Pyshny, Ukrainian media said on Tuesday, citing the NBU press service.
"Dmitry Oleinik will bolster our team, a step which, beyond any doubt, will help overcome the strategic and large-scale challenges that the NBU has encountered," the NBU press service quoted Pyshny as saying.
Oleinik joined Ukrsibbank in 2005 and took on a job in the PricewaterhouseCoopers international company in 2013.
According to the NBU, subsequently, in 2017, Oleinik was appointed director of the credit risk and asset assessment department at Oschadbank, later becoming director of the general department for risk management.
In 2019, Oleinik was appointed to head the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's financial policy department and was appointed general director of the economic policy department at the Office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in 2021.
