Iranian Foreign Ministry urges its citizens to leave Ukraine

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - The Iranian Foreign Ministry has advised its citizens to refrain from travelling to Ukraine and those staying in Ukraine to leave it.

"The Tourism Council of the Foreign Ministry's Main Consular Directorate stresses that, amid the escalation and increasing instability in Ukraine, all citizens of Iran are strongly advised to refrain from travelling to that country. This announcement also recommends that all Iranian citizens living in Ukraine leave that country to preserve their lives and security," Ukrainian media reported citing an announcement on the Iranian Foreign Ministry website.
