Owner of McDonald's successor chain in Russia registers two new legal entities

KEMEROVO. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Alexander Govor, the owner of McDonald's successor chain in Russia, has established two new legal entities, JSC Logistics and Tochka (JSC LIT) and JSC Skandi Pakk Holding (JSC JV Holding), according to data in the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE).

Both companies were registered in Novokuznetsk on October 20 with charter capital of one million rubles each. Both companies specialize in the activities of the holding companies, and Govor owns 100% of each joint-stock company.

Andrei Skurygin is the CEO of both companies, and he heads JSC Vkusno & tochka, the successor to McDonald's in Russia. According to the USRLE, all three companies are registered in the same building, but in different offices. The Govor-associated JSC Inrusinvest development company is also located in the same building.

It was also reported that Finland's Huhtamaki, which produces disposable tableware and packaging for the catering market, in early September sold its business in Russia to Espetina Ltd, which is owned by Govor and Yuri Kushnerov. The deal included four production sites in Russia that employ 724 people.

Govor in early June became the owner of the McDonald's Corp. restaurants in Russia. Following some downtime and the change in ownership, the fast food chain resumed operating under the new name of Vkusno & tochka [Tasty and that's it]. Govor was a franchise partner of McDonald's, having managed 25 restaurants in Siberia since 2015.
