Eastern Economic Forum in 2023 to take place on Sept 5-8

VLADIVOSTOK. Oct 20 (Interfax) - The eighth Eastern Economic Forum will be held September 5-8 on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, the press service of the Roscongress Foundation said in a statement on Thursday.

"The Eastern Economic Forum has established itself as an authoritative discussion platform designed to promote the intensive development of the economy of the Far East and expand international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region," Anton Kobyakov, adviser to the Russian president and executive secretary of the EEF organizing committee, was quoted as saying in a statement on Thursday.

It is traditional for the forum to present breakthrough technologies, conclude landmark investment contracts, and make key decisions for the country's development, he said.

"Today, the importance of the Far East has undoubtedly grown. The export flows that have taken shape in the eastern direction are creating both new challenges and new opportunities. I am convinced that the VIII Eastern Economic Forum will be held at the highest representative level of business," Kobyakov said.
