Kazakhstan not to evacuate or fully close its embassy to Ukraine - FM

ASTANA. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's embassy to Ukraine will not stop its operations, Kazakh Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi said.

"The full evacuation of the embassy is not being considered. First, in the current situation in Ukraine, we cannot put the lives and security of our diplomatic staff at risk. Therefore, we are considering their relocation. The majority of diplomats have now been relocated to Warsaw. They are working from there," Tileuberdi told reporters on Thursday.

"Besides, our consul is staying in Kiev. On a daily basis, he is receiving our citizens who are now in Ukraine. They have lots of questions. They are requesting help. But there is no reason to speak about a full evacuation or temporary closure," the minister said.
