Ukraine boosted revenue from electricity exports 2.3-fold in Jan-Sept

MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Ukraine's revenue from electricity exports rose 2.3-fold year-on-year in January-September 2022 to $429.115 million, according to Ukrainian State Customs Service data.

Electricity was supplied to Poland for $130.43 million in January-September, to Slovakia for $101.432 million, to Romania for $87.521 million, and to other countries for $109.732 million.

Revenue from electricity exports totaled $150.364 million in September 2022, up 5.8-fold from September 2021.

Ukraine imported electricity for $133.577 million in January-September, up 2.1-fold from last year.

Ukraine imported $14.512 million in electricity in September, up 4.5-fold year-on-year.

Ukraine's revenue from electricity exports fell 8.5% in 2021 compared to 2020 to $256.941 million, and imports fell 33.4% to $87.345 million.

Ukraine exported 3.495 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity last year, 26.5% less than in 2020, and imports fell 25.9% to 1.694 billion kWh.
