New Sakhalin-1 operator to be registered in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

MOSCOW. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Sakhalin-1 LLC, the new operator of the Sakhalin-1 project implemented under a production sharing agreement, will be registered in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, according to the government instruction signed on October 12 and posted on the official internet portal of legal information.

In order to ensure the continuity and safety of operations at the production facilities, the instruction stipulates that the consortium and the operator of the consortium, Exxon Neftegas Ltd, must: ensure the transfer of personnel, and Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf Joint-Stock Company ensure the admission of employees of the consortium operator (its Russian branch of the representative office) to JSC Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf; and ensure the transfer to Sakhalinmorneftegaz Shelf of all contracts that were concluded for the purposes of implementing the agreement.
