Foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia discuss drafting of peace treaty between Yerevan, Baku - Armenian Foreign Ministry

YEREVAN. Oct 14 (Interfax) - The foreign ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan discussed the drafting of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement at a meeting in Astana on Friday, the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service said.

"The sides discussed progress in the implementation of agreements formalized by the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, and January 11 and November 26, 2021, and touched upon the work done by the border security and delimitation commissions and the unblocking of economic contacts and transportation infrastructure in the region," the press service said.

The sides "exchanged views on the drafting of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement," it said.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan "underlined the need for Azerbaijani forces' pullout from the sovereign territory of Armenia, the immediate release of all Armenian prisoners of war, and the unconditional implementation of ceasefire," the ministry said.

"The importance of introduction of international mechanisms for monitoring and control of the situation on the border for the sake of preventing new aggressions was underlined," it said.
