KazMunayGas to pay steady dividends after IPO if this doesn't harm co - owner
ASTANA. Oct 14 (Interfax) - KazMunayGas, Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company, plans to pay steady dividends after its IPO provided this does not harm the company, an executive at the majority shareholder, the Samruk-Kazyna national fund, said.
"A corporate decision is close to being reached on dividend policy. It has already been devised. It is envisaged that KazMunayGas will steadily pay a certain amount of dividends, but on the condition this does not undermine its financial stability," Ernar Zhanadil, Samruk-Kazyna's managing director for development and privatization, told a press conference.
He said the company's financial stability depended on oil prices.
