Industry and Trade Ministry doesn't expect timeframe for creating gas turbines in Russia to be moved

MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - The Russian Industry and Trade Ministry is "not considering" options for postponing the launch of production of Russian gas turbines, the Industry and Trade Ministry told Interfax.

"The Russian Industry and Trade Ministry is not considering options to move the earlier announced timeframe at present and expects to achieve the launch of production with subsequent supplies of contracted turbines in the set timeframe," the ministry said in response to a question on possible postponement.

The ministry said it hopes that competitive selections in the energy sector, classic competitive capacity selection and upgrade selection, will not be postponed, "as our producers need guaranteed demand for innovative energy equipment."

The Russian Energy Ministry is considering the option of postponing selections in the energy sector, the traditional competitive capacity selection and upgrade selection.
