Ankara interested in transporting energy resources from Caspian Sea region - minister

ISTANBUL. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Turkey is seeking to contribute to eliminating neighboring countries' problems with energy security, and is ready to ensure transportation of energy resources from the Caspian Sea region, the Anadolu news agency quoted Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Donmez, as saying in a statement.

"Turkey is ready to ensure transportation of energy resources from the Caspian Sea region, especially from Turkmenistan. We are also open to exports of Israeli gas, and from Iraq in the long term," Donmez said after talks in Berlin with Robert Habeck, Germany's Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.

Donmez said that Ankara is seeking to contribute to eliminating neighboring countries' problems with energy security.
